In high schools, Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One delivers practical, life‑saving education designed to prepare teens for real‑world safety situations.

CPR Training:

Students learn how to recognize cardiac emergencies and perform Hands‑Only CPR, use an AED, and perform basic first aid, equipping them with the skills and confidence to act quickly and effectively in urgent situations.

Kitchen Safety:

This lesson focuses on preventing cooking‑related fires, safe handling of hot surfaces and appliances, and understanding how small mistakes in the kitchen can lead to larger hazards.

Distracted Driving:

Firefighters discuss the dangers of driving while texting, using devices, or engaging in other distractions, helping teens understand the real‑life consequences and make safer choices behind the wheel.
