CPR, AED, and First Aid Training

We’re excited to offer a CPR/AED/First Aid class to the public. Below, you’ll find a list of available training dates along with detailed information about the course.

To register, simply scroll down to the bottom of this page and complete the online registration form. After you submit your registration, our office will confirm availability for your selected date. You’ll then receive an email with a link to make the required payment.

Important: To secure your spot in the course, please make your payment promptly. If the class is in high demand and fills up before we receive your payment, we may not be able to hold your reservation.

Fee: $45.00
Certification valid for two years
Class Time Offered: 9:00 am - 1:30 pm

Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One is proud to offer community CPR, AED, and First Aid certification courses through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). ASHI programs are nationally recognized and designed to provide high‑quality, easy‑to-understand training for community members, businesses, and organizations.
 
What the Certification Covers
Our ASHI courses teach essential lifesaving skills that anyone can learn, including:
  • Adult, child, and infant CPR
  • How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Recognizing and responding to heart emergencies and choking
  • First Aid for common injuries and sudden illnesses
  • How to stay safe and manage an emergency scene until professional help arrives
Who Should Take This Course?
ASHI certification is ideal for:
  • Parents, caregivers, and babysitters
  • Teachers, coaches, and childcare providers
  • Workplace teams and safety committees
  • Community members who want to be prepared to help others
No prior medical training is required.
 
Certification Details
  • Certification is valid for 2 years
  • Courses are led by Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One’s trained instructors
  • Participants receive an official ASHI certification card upon successful completion

ASHI’s evidence‑based, practical approach ensures you gain skills that are easy to learn, remember, and use in real‑world situations.
