This comprehensive program covers a range of topics, including fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Participants will engage in hands-on training and practical exercises designed to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to assist in emergencies. To earn your certification, attendance at all scheduled sessions is mandatory. Please note that participants must be 18 years or older to enroll.

6-WEEK COURSE (Must attend all sessions)
Gig Harbor Fire and Medic One offers the CERT Basic class as a valuable training opportunity for community members. However, it is important to note that this class is not affiliated with or presented by a CERT Team or sponsoring agency. Upon completion of the class, participants will receive a CERT Basic certificate, which they can use to apply for an Emergency Worker’s Card through the county or to request to join a sponsoring agency’s CERT team.
